What we believe
A project with community inclusion at its heart
Dee Valley Clean Up was born out of the desire to give back to the amazing natural environments that give us the beautiful experiences that make us come back.
We believe this act of giving back is something that should be celebrated as an outdoor and local community.
With humble beginnings the clean up has massively grown since the 1st event in 2017 and we don’t plan on stopping now. With the epic support of countless volunteers and donations the future for Dee Valley Clean Up is looking bigger and more inclusive then ever!
Water-Trail-Rock
Started on the River Dee in Llangollen from founder Aarons passion for Whitewater Kayaking and the beautiful places it takes him.
But we’ve expanded.
Whether it’s maintaining sustainable trails, removing hazardous trees in rivers, working with environmentally conscious groups or removing man made waste from these areas. Dee Valley Clean Up is there for these places. We’re all in for making outdoor adventurous spaces better for all.
We believe as users of these wild environments it is our responsibility to give back to these places in the same way they give us joy, happiness, friendship, mental wellbeing and often a livelihood. This is the best way to give back.
We do this because we love it. As a team of volunteers we never ask for money for our events, and purely reach out to industry leaders and willing donors who are equally as passionate to support us and what we do. It is the willingness to donate that enables Dee Valley Clean Up to happen and grow into what it has become.
We are passionate that these acts should be rewarded, incentivised and celebrated. Giving back to special places is something that should be celebrated among the community. Both within the outdoor community and the community of local residents in a positive manner.
