Clean River Kent Campaign x Dee Valley Clean Up

This is now a annual outing along the side of the
Kendal Mountain Festival base camp
to remove as much single use plastics and pollution from this famous stretch of river.
This is our chance as outdoor community to give back to the outdoors during this festival and show what were made of.
When - Sunday 22nd November - 11am
Start Point - Gooseholme Bridge
Finish Point - Kirby Kendal School
If you are on the water and have your own boat, Drop it at the start point @ little Aynam from 10:15 then walk back to the start from the school.
The Plan.
To eradicate as much pickable pollution as possible along this stretch. There will be rafts to carry rubbish on the water but please bring gloves and what ever you need to be effective as possible during this mission.
If you want to join us on this mission, please fill the form in below and indicate how you wish to take part. Please note spaces on rafts are VERY limited and come on the 1st to sign up basis.
We will be in touch if there is not space for you on the rafts at the time of sign up.
n.b - spaces on rafts are not a led activity just a tool to carry rubbish and move about the river.
Water or land, it’s up to you.
Trash Free Trails will be leading the charge on the riverbanks, with DVCU on the water.
We will start together with the briefing at 11am

Dee Valley Clean Up is a gathering of passionate people, the organisation creates a time and a place for people to meet.
Peoples participation in the clean up is totally their own risk. It is up to each individual participant to judge their own ability’s and work within what they are both competent and safe to do so.
Dee Valley Clean Up is a community-led initiative providing opportunities for individuals to meet and voluntarily take part in environmental clean-up activities. Events are not guided or formally supervised.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. By signing up, you acknowledge the potential hazards associated with outdoor activities, including moving water, uneven terrain and environmental hazards. You accept responsibility for assessing your own abilities, using appropriate equipment and remaining within your personal limits.
Participants must follow any safety instructions provided and must not undertake activities beyond their competence. Dee Valley Clean Up accepts no responsibility for risks voluntarily undertaken by participants.
