“The Spring Clean”
Clearing the river of all that winter junk followed by two epic films being shown at the bridge end pub.
Date - 10/05/25
Location - River Dee, Llangollen
Meeting Point - Horseshoe Falls - 5:30 pm
Afters - Bridge End Pub (from 19:30)
The Master Plan
We’re aiming to clear out as much junk as we can on the Horseshoe to Townfalls section. This spring clean usually targets all the farm waste and river junk that’s been swept in over winter, and we need your help to do it.
You can join us in whatever craft you're most comfy paddling from Horseshoe Falls to town, stopping along the way to scoop up whatever rubbish you spot. Not a paddler? No worries – feel free to do your own clean up mission (walk, bike, whatever works) and meet us at the Ponsonby car park by 7:30pm to drop off your collected trash.
Once we’ve done the good work, we’ll be heading to the Bridge End for some merriments with great company and two epic films. We’ll be putting on some chips and snacks from 8pm – just bring your own bowl so we can avoid disposables and save the pub from a mountain of washing up.
Quick heads up: we won’t be running guided trips for this one (that’ll happen during the big summer event). So make sure you bring your own gear, and only take part in ways that suit your ability.
